Veiled Obsession by Dori Lavelle is the first book in her new trilogy, His Agenda. It is a dark novel with some disturbing subject matter. While told in as tasteful a way as anything like this can be, be warned if dark content ans sexual situations are triggers.
With that being said, this story sets the backdrop for Haley and Jude's story. A dark, twisted backdrop that left me feeling very tired and very sad. It was a well-crafted tale with twists and turns you will never expect. I'm sure the remaining two stories will be just as fraught with danger, peril, and abusive situations I also hope they will contain a bit more happy times.
Prepare yourself for this intense thriller, perhaps with a chilled glass of wine at hand.
