Roxy Sloane writes steamy, erotic scenes that will melt your panties off EVERY time. Even when it's just sidelong glances and accidental encounters, there's a level of steaminess that leaves you almost panting.
The essential plot is this...Zoe Warren is a reporter, or at least trying to be. There are absolutely no jobs open to her in NY until she gets experience and, catch 22, she can't get any reporting experience until she gets hired. An interview at the New York Daily leaves a tiny glimmer of hope in Zoe's soul. If she can submit a great story they will hire her. Now she just has to decide WHAT to report on. Her roommate mentions this mythical sex club called The Underground, that after some digging, Zoe discovers is real and manages an interview as a hostess.
So what happens when she is hired and goes undercover to investigate the high profile clientele and unearths some scandals? Will Dax Ryan, the gorgeous and commanding owner of The Underground expose her secrets before she can get her exposé together or will she finally get the story and the break she needs to truly begin her career in reporting?
After the harrowing escape from her apartment, Zoe and Dax head to his place. They are well on their way to a full reconciliation after her secrets were aired out and things are going great. UNTIL, the newspaper editor she decided to not do the article on the Underground for prints a story on the councilman Andrew Landsley that Nikolai was after for his nefarious plans. But that isn't all, the editor gave Zoe the credit in the byline. All hell breaks lose between her and Dax and with everyone at odds and under scrutiny, no one is aware enough to watch for the real danger. The person who has been sending the threatening notes is looming ever closer.
