My Review:

What the Lightning Sees: Part TwoWhat the Lightning Sees: Part Two by Louise Bay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What the Lightning Sees: Part Two by Louise Bay is the second part in her new series, Lightning. This continues the story of Jake Harrison and Haven Daniels. The series is one that must be read in order and this review may contain spoilers for the previous book.

Haven overheard her boss and Jake having a conversation about her recent assignment and the things her boss was saying about her appearance and the reason she got the assignment were NOT flattering. She didn't hear Jake say or agree to this but lumped him in with the guilty party. Their relationship that had been going so well was over as far as she was concerned.

Jake can't decide whether he's angry she's ignoring him and has cut him out of her life or upset. He has an important business project that HAS to take precedence but when he is asked to do another photography assignment for Haven's next article, his limits are pushed.

Haven is doing an article on a dating company for the rich and privileged and needs photos of her getting ready for her dates and some of each of the dates she goes on. Jake gets the photographic assignment and the decision of how he feels about Haven is made for him when he has to witness her getting ready for these dates AND THEN go with her and take pictures during the date.

What happens when his past catches up with him and drops a bombshell big enough to damage what they just started to rebuild? I don't know yet either but can't wait for the next book, What the Lightning Sees: Part Three

About the Series:

Jake Harrison is everything that Haven Daniels hates about men: over-confident, born into money and too handsome for his own good. Haven finds it difficult to keep her opinions to herself and can’t help but tell Jake exactly what she thinks of him, again and again.

Haven Daniels is uptight, smart and a bit of a bitch – the perfect challenge for Jake. It doesn’t hurt that she’s movie star beautiful and has no idea.

Forced to work together, verbal sparring turns into sexual chemistry but men like Jake are trouble and Haven has had enough trouble to last her a lifetime.

Will Haven give into Jake’s charms? Can Jake peel off Haven’s prickly mask, revealing the woman he knows lies beneath?

About The Author:

USA Today Bestselling Author Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. Bestselling The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York. My next series is What the Lightning Sees.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
