Review: Along Came Trouble

Along Came Trouble (Camelot, #2)Along Came Trouble by Ruthie Knox

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely freaking adore this series.
It is cute, lighthearted, and has just enough angst to keep you interested but not so much that you are a sobbing shell of your former self when you are done.

It has taken me so much longer to get through this book than I expected. June has been a VERY busy month for me and my reading has been all over the place. This should not reflect on the book at all. I finished the last half this evening (Amazing what you can do with the significant other gone and the TV off!) and spent almost the whole entire time feeling that tight band of emotions you get in your chest when you read something particularly good. It's due to steamy scenes, angsty realizations, momentary drama, and the Happily Ever After. I love getting that feeling. That feeling is a good book feeling.

I did not realize that Along Came Trouble happens about ten years AFTER Amber and Tony's book, How to Misbehave, but the timing totally pans out. I can't wait to dive into the next one... Flirting with Disaster.

Caleb Clark is a freaking book heartthrob. Ex-military, tall, muscled, polite, capable, caring and always has a smile on his gorgeous face. I'm picturing a crazy blend of Vin Diesel and Josh Duhamel. Not quite sure how that would work, maybe Josh's face with Vin's body. Don't get me wrong, I love Vin's face too, but the description brings this blending to mind. Either way - Great Book Boyfriend material. Ellen is a tough, capable, intelligent single mom and is twin sister to heartthrob and pop star Jamie. And so the story begins...
If you want a feel good tale of romance and real(ish) life, then I highly recommend this series.
