Review: Crossfire # 1: Bared To You

Bared to You (Crossfire, #1)Bared to You by Sylvia Day

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***Spoilers***

I've read all three books back to back and am having a hard time keeping the details contained to each individual book.

***You've been warned***There are spoilers***

Bared to You by Sylvia Day is a steamy, dramatic, romantic tale of a mega rich alpha male and his obsession with the new girl in the building. She's damaged, he's damaged, they are both VERY dysfunctional AND high-maintenance and yet you will find yourself rooting for them to be able to work it out. This first book alludes to the childhood trauma that Gideon has suffered and goes into detail with Eva's past.
An ex-fiancee shows up from Gideon's past, completely blindsiding Eva who never even knew he had been engaged. Jealousy plays a huge part in their misunderstandings and problems. Eva's best friend, a gorgeous male model named Cary, also has a tragic past but is the rock Eva leans on. Cary has a meltdown in the form of an orgy and it puts Eva in danger and then Gideon flies in to the rescue, fists flying *sigh* !

Audible Audiobook "Review: Crossfire # 1: Bared To You"
Where does Bared to You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Bared to you ranks among my favorite of all the audiobooks I've listened to so far and I've listened to a VERY large quantity of audiobooks since I began my Audible membership in October 2008.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bared to You?
The scene in the library where Gideon and Eva are interrupted, first by Magdalena and then by Christopher.
"A movement on the far side of the room caught my eye and I froze, my gaze locking with Magdalene’s. She stood just inside the door, halted midstride, staring wide-eyed and open-mouthed at the back of Gideon’s moving head."

Eva almost revels in the feeling of exhibitionism and ownership when she realizes Magdalena is watching and returns her focus to Gideon, then disregarding the other woman. Then they are interrupted AGAIN by Christopher but are situated so that he can't see what is going on underneath Eva's skirts - and there is A LOT going on under there!
"I climaxed. Afraid of the wail of pleasure that wanted out of me, I sank my teeth into Gideon’s hard pectoral. He grunted softly and started coming, his cock jerking as it pumped thick spurts of scorching semen into me.
The rest of the conversation was lost beneath the roar of my blood. Christopher said something, Gideon replied, and then the door shut again. I was lifted to sit on the armrest and Gideon started thrusting between my spread thighs, using my body to rub out the rest of his orgasm, growling in my mouth as we finished off the rawest, most exhibitionistic sexual encounter of my life."

Definitely one of my more favorite moments *sigh*!

Have you listened to any of Jill Redfield’s other performances before?
How does this one compare?

This is the first time I have listened to a performance by Jill Redfield. In comparison with other narrator's...she is VERY good. She changes her voice and inflection just enough that there is a difference between characters but not so much that it sounds awkward or ridiculous.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
They have already laid their bodies bare to each other, can they survive the baring of their hearts?

Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed the story and wish I had a Gideon of my very own!
