Review: Immortals After Dark # 13: MacRieve

MacRieve (Immortals After Dark, #13)MacRieve by Kresley Cole

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

MacRieve by Kresley Cole is the thirteenth book in the Immortals After dark series. The tale begins with Uilleam as a child in Scotland. We learn exactly what happened in his tragic past and just how terrible his demons are.

Chloe is a soccer star - she's competitive and capable and freaky things are starting to happen to her. She is abducted by witches and put up for auction. Oh, yeah, and she's human.

Imagine attending an auction with the sole purpose of winning the bid for your greatest enemies most treasured possession. Now imagine the possession is the enemies human daughter. Now imagine realizing that this human female is your one true mate. And so this is a perfect representation of the luck MacRieve has had his whole life.

Audible Audiobook "Review: Immortals After Dark #13: MacRieve"Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would reccommend this audiobook to anyone who has read and loved the Immortals After Dark series.

Who was your favorite character and why?
MacRieve. He's so angry and alpha and intense, but loyal to a fault when it counts.

Which scene was your favorite?
Any scene where Chloe was kicking MacRieve's butt was good, she is fiesty and strong, but probably the love scene after Chloe returns from her family and needs MacRieve to be true to their love in order to survive.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I felt a lot of heartache for MacRieve AND Chloe throughout this story. He has had so many bad things happen to him that you can't fault him for his prejudice, but Chloe doesn't deserve the things he dished out in anger.
