Izzy and Axel were high school sweethearts who were meant to spend the rest of their lives together. But fate can be cruel, especially after an 18 year old Axel leaves for the Marines and Izzy is left to deal with life on her own.

Fast forward 12 years later, and Izzy is the one trying to escape from an abusive exhusband's control while Axel is the only one who can protect her.

Can they finally find their way back to each other through years of heart break and miscommunication? 

Of course they will eventually! It wouldn't be a true romance if they didn't. But it takes a whole lot of emotional turmoil before they are finally back on track with the future that should have been theirs all along.

If you enjoy a good romance with plenty of emotional angst, yummy alpha males, and hot steamy sex, then this is the book for you!
