About The Book:
Title: Before We Fall (Beautifully Broken #3)
Author: Courtney Cole
Release Date: December 17, 2013
Sometimes, one dark moment is all it takes to turn your world black...
For 24-year old Dominic Kinkaide, that moment took place on the night of his high school graduation. One dark incident changed him forever. He's a hardened actor now, famous in the eyes of the world, but tortured in his own. He doesn't care about much of anything, except for losing himself in the roles that he plays.
23-year old Jacey Vincent doesn't realize how much her father's indifference has affected her. She is proof that sometimes it isn't one specific moment that wrecks a person, but rather it's an absence of moments. She's like a bird with a broken wing-strong yet fragile, as she tries to float through life, finding acceptance in the arms of random guys, one after the other... to fill the void that her father left in her.
Until she meets Dominic.
After jaded Dominic and strong-willed Jacey are thrown together, his secret and her issues create a dark and damaged energy that will soon turn their attraction to each other into an explosive storm.
Even though when the clouds have cleared and the dust has settled, both of them are almost obliterated... they've learned a priceless lesson.
Sometimes, before we fall... we fly.
Exclusive:
Top 5 things Jacey loves about Dominic
1. His confidence
2. His dark, dark green eyes
3. His chiseled abs
4. His heart.
5. His goodness. It took her awhile to find it because it was hidden so far down, but now that she’s seen it, she’s in love with it.
Our Reviews:
If You Stay by Courtney Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
If You Stay by Courtney Cole was knocking my socks off from the first page. The author wasted NO time at ALL in getting to the nitty gritty of Pax's effed up life.
This was such an emotional tale of two damaged people that do nothing but make each other better (for the most part) once they finally get to know each other.
Pax truly is a damaged soul and he knows it. He feels deep down inside, that he doesn't deserve Mila, but he wants her so badly that he doesn't care. He may not be good enough for her but he's gonna die trying to make himself worthy.
Mila saves Pax's life. First on the beach with his accidental OD and again by giving him a solid, loving reason to straighten up and get himself sorted.
Did I mention how freaking hot and steamy this book was? It will make your girl parts feel all naughty (& nice).
My first book by this author and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!

Allison's Review:
Gabe Vincent is a former soldier - events from his time in Afghanistan haunt his dreams.
Maddy Hill lost her parents in a horrible car crash. She lives in their home and took over running their restaurant.
While out on the town one night, Maddy and Gabe meet at a club and have instant chemistry. They leave together but their night is cut short after their cab is involved in an accident. This triggers his memories of Afghanistan and Gabe freaks out. Needless to say, Maddy isn't prepared for this. Gabe's strange behavior triggers her own memories of her abusive father. She gets Gabe home safely and figures she'll never see him again.
However, Gabe drops by to visit his sister who just happens to be a waitress in Maddy's restaurant and sees Maddy again.
Gabe decides to pursue Maddy despite her seeming lack of interest. Maddy is put off by Gabe's behavior from the first night they met thinking that he's a violent man like her father was.
They get stuck with each other during a bad storm and can't leave her house due to flooding. This time together helps them to get closer and open up to one another.
Eventually Maddy let's go of her doubts and helps Gabe confront his nightmares so they can move forward.
Looking forward to the next book about Gabe's sister!!

Allison's Review:
Omg! I can't stop crying!
I started reading Before We Fall this morning and could not put it down from the start.
I'm totally loving Courtney Cole.
Jacey Vincent, who we met in If You Leave, is still struggling with overcoming her insecurities.
Dominic Kinkaide is miserable and shuts himself off to any meaningful relationships.
They are thrown together in community service and develop a connection that Dom instantly doesn't want to admit to. Jacey feels that Dom has redeeming qualities somewhere deep inside him and becomes obsessed with convincing him of this.
Dominic eventually must open up and share the details of a huge secret that he has carried for six years if he wants to move forward with Jacey. Holy shit Batman - the secret was a doosie! I was blown away!
The epilogue was beautiful. It really was a bittersweet ending to Jacey and Dom's story - gave me goose bumps. I hope that Brand gets a story and that we learn of a little addition to the Kinkaide's family!

About the Author:
Courtney Cole is a novelist who would eat mythology for breakfast if she could. She has a degree in Business, but has since discovered that corporate America is not nearly as fun to live in as fictional worlds. She loves chocolate and roller coasters and hates waiting and rude people.
Courtney lives in quiet suburbia, close to Lake Michigan, with her real-life Prince Charming, her ornery kids (there is a small chance that they get their orneriness from their mother) and a small domestic zoo.
