One to Keep by Tia Louise is the second book in her One To Hold series. This story take splace during the same timeframe as One to Hold (more or less) but is told from Patrick's point of view. The couple in this book is Patrick and Elaine. We met them both and got a secondhand look at them falling in love when we ourselves, met and fell in love with Derek and Melissa.

Patrick has been betrayed to the point of driving him insane. At least his behavior is that of a crazy man. When we finally flash forward past the angst and drama to his meeting Elaine in Scottsdale, we see his take on how they met and just exactly what Elaine came to mean to him in that short week in the desert.

There's a shocking truth that surfaces from Patricks recent past that made me a little uncomfortable with the story and very sad for all the complications that such a truth can cause. Despite this, it was refreshing to get inside the nitty gritty dirty brain of a guy for once. I enjoyed this story almost as much as Derek and Melissa's.

One to Hold by Tia Louise is the first book in her One To Hold series. And it is HAWT!

Melissa has had a crap year and is on a week long get away in the desert with her lifelong best friend Elaine. What she doesn't expect to happen is the sexy god-like hook up that completely blows her mind. Is he gonna make a repeat appearance? Does she want him to?

Derek just met the most beautiful but sad woman he's ever seen. Something about Melissa speaks to some part of him that was broken till now. What started as a one night stand, a really sexy one night stand, NEEDS to become more. Every cell in his body insists on it.

There's a passion between these two people that will draw you deep into their stories. Melissa has to decide if her past will limit her future but she first needs to decide if she can ever get past Derek's shocking secret! I absolutely loved this book!
