My rating: 4 of 5 starsTake My Hand by Nicola Haken is a story set in England and features a naive and innocent British girl (Emily) and the hot, bike-riding American bad boy (Dexter). They are classmates in a sociology class in London together.
I love the TESCO and Marks & Spencers references Emily makes. I'm from England and I totally get the point being made. Rachel is a riot. Her list, outrageous!
We slowly get to know the characters and their secrets as the book progresses. Both Emily & Dex have sad pasts. The secret of Dex's takes a long while to be revealed. There's a lot of hot lovin' and plenty of angst. There is also a cliffhanger ending, but, fear not, book two (Hold on Tight) is already out (Phew!).
Get the tissues, some chocolate and a glass of wine ready and settle in and enjoy the read!
