About The Book:
Title: Tell Me When
Author: Stina Lindenblatt
Purchase: Amazon | Barnes and Noble
Amber Scott should be enjoying life as a college freshman. She should be pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She should be working hard to make sense of her precalculus math class.
She shouldn't be waking up her college roommate with screaming nightmares. She shouldn't be flashing back, reliving the three weeks of hell she barely survived last year. And she definitely shouldn't be spending time with sexy player Marcus Reid.
But engineering student Marcus is the only one keeping Amber from failing her math course, so she grudgingly lets him into her life. She never expects the king of hookups will share his painful past. Or that she'll tell him her secrets in return, opening up and trusting him in a way she thought she'd never be able to again.
When their fragile future together is threatened by a stalker Amber thought was locked away for good, Marcus is determined to protect her—and Amber is determined to protect Marcus…even if that means pushing him away.
My Review:
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Tell Me When by Stina Lindenblatt is a gut-wrenching tale of two people, each with a tragic and traumatic pasts and their journey towards each other.
Amber Scott has been through hell. As the story unfolds we slowly learn the macabre extent of the hell she has survived. She is having night terrors, debilitating flashbacks, and anxiety and paranoia, all while attending college and trying her hardest not to fail math.
Marcus Reid is a player. Well, he's straight up about the no-relationship no repeat requirements of sharing sex with him, but he gets around. He keeps noticing one girl in particular that he cannot get out of his mind. His Kitten was at the tattoo shop, the gym, and the party where he just rescued her from an overly eager drunken frat boy hoping to get lucky. He's an engineering major and as luck would have it, he needs money and is willing to tutor none otehr than the skittish Kitten otherwise known as Amber.
When things from Amber's past start happening again and scare her into driving a wedge between her and Marcus it's a snowball effect of angst and drama.
Amber trusts Marcus and feels things with him she honestly thought she'd never feel again. With Amber, marcus has never felt so connected to another persons soul. He's never wanted to be this close with a woman and emotionally (and physically) Amber is the one for him.
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book.
