Severed Angel by K.T. Fisher and Ava Manello is the first book in their Severed MC series.
This is a very difficult book to review AND avoid spoilers.
Expect heat and passion but also be prepared for some darkness and loss. This book runs the gamut of emotions - thriller, romance, suspense, erotic. I loved EVERY page.
Eve is traveling to a town called Severed in Australia from England. Her childhood best friend, Teresa, is getting married and she is the maid of honor. Teresa's family moved to England because that is where her mother was from. Her dad was a member of the Severed Motorcycle Club when they made the move. Teresa's mother died in her late teens and Teresa and her dad, Elvis, moved back to Australia shortly after. Upon his return, Elvis joined back in with his Severed MC family.
It has been six years since Teresa and Eve have seen each other, and Eve has a two-year old daughter with her ex that is staying with her mother. Eve's father was never in the picture and her mother is a FAR better grandmother than she ever was a mother to Eve. Teresa's parents were more like parents to Eve than her own ever were.
The book starts out with Eve in her rental, leaving the airport and heading for the town of severed. Shortly thereafter (very shortly) the drama starts. It is intense, it is dark, and it is disturbing. The saving grace is the arrival of Angel - the VP of Severed MC - and his almighty hotness. The caveman/alpha behavior is off-the-charts hot and makes me wonder what has taken me so long to read a Motorcycle Club themed book before.
Be warned there is a massive effing cliffhanger that will have you cussing very loudly and impatiently waiting the arrival of book two. Totally worth it though.
