About The Book:

Author: Abby McCarthy
Cover Designed: Hang Le
Expected Publication: May 20, 2014
Genres: Contemporary, Romance

“My name is Maura McCafferty. I take men who love me and I destroy them. If there was a scarlet letter I could wear to keep the men at bay, it would be a W. I would wear it proudly, to let them know I am a wrecker. If you love me, I will wreck you.”

Raised within the Devil’s Crusader’s, Maura has been exposed to many of life’s uglies and sheltered from any real relationships. She has all but given up on the idea of love.

Until she meets Corbin Marx, a sexy beast of a Marine who refuses to back down from any challenge. He is the type of man Maura has craved, the type who might just be strong enough…

This journey will be brutal, littered with violence, deceit and heartache. Maura must learn to navigate through the bumpy roads that life has paved and hope that at the end she will find her happiness.

Warning: Due to Violence, language, drug use and sexual content this book is not suited for anyone under 17. If those things offend you, this might too.

Excerpt:

Finally, after several moments of silence, Corbin lifts my tear-drenched face upwards so that I am looking at his icy blues.

"I’m not sure if I can forgive you. I want to. I want what we had back so bad. I just don’t know if I can trust you.” His voice has softened and I feel a small amount of hope, that he at least wants to forgive me.

“I’d do anything for you to trust me again. I’ll prove to you….”

He cuts me off as I am pleading, “I have to leave, the phone call I was on was my superior.”

He pulls away from our embrace and I try to cling to him again, feeling like he is leaving for good.

“Will you call me?” My lip quivers as I ask the question.

“I don’t know.”

He heads for the door to leave and I instinctively follow him. He walks outside to the Navigator and I throw my arms around his neck before he gets in.

“Please tell me this isn't goodbye?”

He doesn't answer my question. He pulls me in closer to him. I breathe him in, wanting to capture every part of this moment with him in case it’s my last.

My Review:

Wreck YouWreck You by Abby McCarthy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wreck You by Abby McCarthy is the authors debut novel and is amazing. I read some comments that stated they didn't buy into the "insta-love" between Maura and Corbin but, honestly, that's part of why I love romance novels so much. They allow you toexperience the rare and possibly mythical part of love. They allow you to escape from everyday life and enjoy smething different. So that's my rose-colored-glasses view on "insta-love".

Maura McCafferty is an Irishman's daughter and part of the Devil's Crusader's Motorcycle Club. A fiery independent woman who is floored the moment she lays eyes on Corbin Marx, a super-fine Marine on leave and staying next door to her home.

The insta-love is electrifying and unbelievably hot! The situation gets very dangerous when club business drags Maura into it's path. Corbin's kick-ass skills save ehr and earn him the grudging respect of the club members.

Any more details might ruin the story but there is romance, drama, angst and a happy ever after.

I want more from this author, like, yesterday. Loved it!

About The Author:

I am a reader and a lover of words. I am a blogger turned author releasing my first novel in May 2014. I am a mother of three, a wife and a dog person. I have always wrote, sometimes poetry, sometimes just to vent about failed relationships, however in parenthood I have found my voice to help keep my sanity. Words have flowed from me, to review and with the support of amazing friends in the Indie community I have decided to pursue my dream of writing! I love to write and read romance, because isn't that something we all yearn for? Weather it be flowers and hand holding or just the right tug on your hair. Isn't that what life is about? The human connection?
