Foolproof by Jennifer Blackwood is the second book in her Drexler University series.
It is summer break and Jules (Payton's best friend and roommate from first book Unethical) is out of rehab and working at an office supply store. It's not what she wants but it will pay the rent so she is there for the summer suffering through the god-awful 90's pop hits that play over the store's sound system.
Ryan, who just happens to be Blake's best friend and who grew up with Blake and Payton, is also back for more than the summer. He flunked out of his third year in college. He has no idea what he wants to do with his life, his career. He's drowning in his own inability to decide.
The build up between the two characters is slow at first but the banter is cute. They both have a lot of baggage they need to work out in their own lives and careers before they want to tackle a relationship. But as relationships go, this one sneaks up on them pretty quick.
A sweet romance with some smexy lovin' and an inspiring story line: You are responsible for your own happiness and always trying to please others will not work towards making you happy.
