My Review:
What the Lightning Sees: Part One by Louise Bay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
What the Lightning Sees: Part One by Louise Bay is the first part in her new series, Lightning. This begins the story of Jake Harrison and Haven Daniels.
Jake is confident, wealthy and everything Haven thinks she hates about men.
Haven is highly intelligent and very stand-offish. She keeps work separate from her private life and those she works with know nothing of the fun-loving, quirky person she truly is.
When Haven has to work closely with Jake on an article she's writing about an actress that Jake happens to know personally things do not go smoothly at first. She has perceptions of who he is and she has a severe case of not being able to keep her opinions to herself where he is concerned.
Jake is by turns insulted and intrigued by haven. She triggers an awareness in him that wasn't there before. He is seeing his current girlfriend with different eyes, viewing his business venture in a different way and is beginning to form an attachment to haven herself.
What happens when something is over heard out on context and not in it's entirety and assumptions are made? I don't know either but sure hope to find out when book two, What the Lightning Sees: Part Two, comes out!

About The Author:
USA Today Bestselling Author Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books Faithful and Hopeful are stand-alone novels although there are some overlapping characters. Bestselling The Empire State Series of novellas starts with A Week in New York. My next series is What the Lightning Sees.
Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.
Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.
She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!
