Savin' Me by Alannah Lynne is the first book in her Heat Wave series. This story is about Kat and Erik. It is a steamy romance filled with passion, regret, second-guessing and tragic pasts. What better combination, right?
Kat has left the big advertising firm she worked for in Charlotte, North Carolina and is now working in small town Riverside, NC at a much smaller ad firm. What she did NOT expect from this career change is to come face-to-face with her one night stand that she has been pining over for almost thirteen months. This man may have just ruined her for all future encounters it was that good.
Erik has spent the past ten years in his own personal purgatory. He punished himself for what happened with his ex and has vowed to never have a relationship again. When he meets Kat in Charlotte and they spark and have their one-night stand, something changes. She may have just found a crack in his armor but she's gone when he wakes up the next day. So when he sees her at a work-function in Riverside he is floored that after thirteen months she still gets to him.
I loved this story. It was a fast flowing read with some unexpected bumps in the road for these two but it was GOOD!
