He arranges a fake engagement to win against his business rival.

Bradley Mead has one overriding goal: to succeed over his fiercest business enemy. To boost his chances of winning a lucrative contract over his competitor, he must first assure his potential client that he is not after the client's new wife--a woman he used to date and who still loves to flirt with him. To aid his cause, he asks Erin Baker, his sister's beautiful best friend, to be his pretend fianceé. But Erin soon becomes a pawn for his archrival's underhanded tactics... and he finds himself torn between winning in business and following the dictates of his heart.

She doesn't expect to fall for her fake fiancé.

Erin Baker believes she is now immune from Bradley Mead's charms. After all, her secret crush for him when she was still a teenager is long gone. When an ex-boyfriend becomes a new work colleague and starts annoying her, accepting Brad's proposition to be his fake fianceé for a short time seems like a great idea... until she discovers that she's been lying to herself about her feelings for him. Can she ever win the heart of the man who has never loved her back, and shows no intention of ever doing so?

My Review:

The Unintended Fiance (Captured by Love, #4)The Unintended Fiance by Miranda P. Charles
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Unintended Fiance by Miranda P. Charles is the fourth book in her wonderful series Captured by Love. The series is about an extended group of friends that, as part of a charity fundraiser, make bets periodically to see which of the single guys gets "Captured by Love" next. It's all in good fun and this book in particular was wonderful.

Bradley Mead and Erin Baker have been friends forever. Erin used to crush on him big time in her teens, but as she grew up seeing her best friends brother go through women almost faster than underwear she learned to appreciate his gorgeousness and let the feelings go. When his sister and her bestie, Lexi, moves out of their apartment to move in with her guy, Erin offers the spare room to Bradley. He is waiting on his house being built and is looking for somewhere for a few months. She can handle this - her crush is long gone, plus he still goes through women like it's nobody's business.

When a mutual need to pretend to be "in a relationship" arises the two of them start to get cozy in public. But when that starts to translate to cozy in private can they keep their feelings out of it? Do they even want to?

This book was rampant with emotion - angst and goosebumps - and a bit of danger and deception too. I absolutely loved it. Miranda is a definite MUST READ author for me.

About The Author:

Miranda P. Charles is the author of more than a dozen steamy and stirring contemporary romance novels.

She prefers to spend her time in front of her laptop, putting into words the love stories that play in her head. Don't get her started with reading a great book, though, because she has the tendency to not put it down until she gets to the last page.

She does have a life outside of books. Mostly, that consists of bonding with family and friends or going on romantic trips with her awesome husband (who, thankfully, puts up with her hermit-like daily routine). Oh, yeah, there's also the housework. But she really wishes someone else could do that for her so she could get back to her books!

She lives in one of the suburbs in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia.
