This book was fun to read, it had a strong sexually chemistry between the two main characters they are funny, smart and found love at first sight, Even if they didn't want to admit it.
Karlie escapes her abusive, motorcycle racing boyfriend Conner with the help of a stranger Lucas Lafontaine. Lucas turns out to be a cop, an owner of racing and vintage motorcycles and some what of a super hero. after he helps Karlie she is left with a big problem, nowhere to live. He invites Karlie to live with him in trade for cooking and house keeping, so she can compete school and not worry about bills. He really wants Karlie as close to him as possible They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, Lucas's heart was sold instantly but he had no idea Karlie went to culinary school. That's a bonus! Conner the ex, tries to lure Karlie back through false pretenses, but every time his abusive side shows through. Lucas does have a little baggage in the form of a ex-wife, who uses their son to hurt Lucas. She is not afraid to use Karlie to hurt Lucas’s chances of being with his son. Karlie has one way of dealing with it, Lucas has a totally different way, and that is the big twist.
I really like this book and the way Lucas really loves Karlie . Worth the read, and I would love to see what happens next. 4 stars
