The House Mate by Kendall Ryan is the third stand alone book in her Roommates series. Each book in the series is about a completely different couple and group of friends and can absolutely be read as a standalone. In this juicy installment we meet Max Alexander and Addison Lane. Max is a single dad in his mid-thirties in desperate need of a competent and highly qualified nanny. He didn't think to add older and warts as requirements in the hiring preferences and when Addison shows up at his door h is instantly drawn to this woman who is here to take care of his daughter. Against his better judgement but definitely in keeping with his libido's insistence, he hires Addison. She is the best thing he could have asked for in his life right now if only he wasn't so completely attracted to her in every way.
Addison needs a change. She also needs a place to live so when a live-in nanny position becomes available she applies for the job. They didn't put in the job listing that the dad was hot-as-hell and single. Faced with another bout of homelessness, she completely ignores her growing attraction to Max as best she can and just prays that she does a fabulous enough job that he doesn't notice her obvious attraction.
Loved this - it was steadily paced with a few twists thrown in but ultimately the HOT and delicious happy ever after we were waiting for. Another pleasure to read, this sexy single-dad romance will have you swooning for the hunky Max for sure! Enjoy!
