#BlogTour: Twist by Kylie Scott

TWIST

By Kylie Scott

A Dive Bar Novel (#2)

About The Book:

From New York Times bestselling author Kylie Scott comes the second sizzling stand-alone novel in the Dive Bar series!

When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.

Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they're emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets...except the one that really matters.

When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it's always better with a twist.

My Review:

Twist (Dive Bar, #2)Twist by Kylie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Twist by Kylie Scott is the second book in her Dive Bar series. A standalone romance that is much better read as part of the series, in order, this story is about Joe Collins, the bear of a bartender at Dive Bar and his brothers/his dating site pen pal, Alex Parks. The only problem is, Alex has been thinking (lead to believe) that Joe has been Eric this whole time. The truth comes out when Alex flies to Idaho from Seattle to surprise Eric/Joe on his birthday at his party at Dive Bar. Let the games begin...

The meet-cute is a meet-disaster for both Joe and Alex but the circumstances that occur as part of that meeting enable Joe to really step in and begin the groveling (while being hot and lumbersexual) and try to earn the trust of Alex again.

Alex feels blindsided and totally out-of-place, but Joe's insistence AND persistence and the fact that she knows HIM from all their emails back and forth EVEN THOUGH she thought it was Eric she finally manages to get the two identities straight in her head. It doesn't hurt that Eric, while hot as sin, is a total douche canoe towards her for the majority of the time, in his way trying to protect his brother.

Loved it! Quirky, original, well-written and well-paced the peripheral characters were almost as much a part of the main story (Nell & Pat) as the main story was and that continues over from book one (where I suggested they were better read in order). I am so excited to read more about the Dive Bar and it's people. Coming Soon: Chaser. Enjoy!
