Sex in the Sticks by Sawyer Bennett is the first book in her brand-spanking new series, Love Hurts. It is a funny, romantic, steamy trip from Manhattan to Alaska that is told in dual POV between Valentine, the sexy New York Socialite and dating advice blogger and Logan, East Merritt, Alaska's Chief of Police and the savior to Valentine's many disasters as the city girl tries to make it in the Wilds of Alaska.
Although Valentine is privileged and rich she isn't a B about it. She is kind and friendly and her way of life is just how she was raised. Don't get me wrong, it takes her a little bit to acclimate to the Alaskan lifestyle but the journey is hilarious (mostly).
Logan is every woman's dream. He is tall and built and ruggedly gorgeous in an Alaskan/lumber-sexual kind of way. He is kind, and a savior to Valentine, even though he is just doing his job.He is also completely NOT a push over and the angsty time of the story is quite intense.
As always, well-written and well-paced this was un-put-down-able and an absolute pleasure to read. Love this must-read author! Enjoy!
