Get It On by J. Kenner is the fifth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is where the owner of The Fix himself, Tyree, comes face to face with a past love and learns to open his heart again, not just with Eva but with their grown daughter that he only just found out existed.
Tyree is blindsided by the knowledge that he has a daughter with Eva - the woman who broke his heart before he met his wife. With Teiko gone the past few years he has never really moved past losing her and he and his son, Elijah, have grown closer and gone through so much together since her death. Learning about his daughter, Elena, was a shock, but a pleasant surprise. Seeing Eva after all these years, however, left him speechless.
Eva thought she had lost Tyree all those years ago and now that she knows the truth about the situation she is hesitant to make a move. Good thing for her and Tyree that their daughter, Elena, doesn't mind putting wither of them in the hot seat at all. Showing up in Austin felt like a mistake until it didn't and now she is willing to give his thing with them a chance. But is Tyree ready?
Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!
