Callback by Katana Collins is the first book in her brand new Silhouette Studios series. Going in I expected something so much different from what I got. I was pleasantly surprised with this.
Marlena is trying out for a lead in a movie. She has been targeted by producers and the like in all the wrong ways since her ex lied to the press and said she was sleeping her way into her parts.
Jude has been burned, badly, by his ex-wife. She never truly loved him and only used him to climb higher in their Hollywood sphere of influence. When he finds out that he might be working with her in the new movie her is starring in he is desperate to have the fresh faced Marlena get the part. So desperate in fact that he convinces her to spend a week in his care getting to know the BDSM lifestyle intimately.
Marlena takes Jude up on his offer to teach her with boundaries in place that they won't become sexually involved. Not as simple as it sounds and feelings come in to play between them as they learn each others deepest and darkest fears and wishes.
Told in dual POV this book was sexy, twisted, romantic, and downright dirty at times. Enjoy!

When Katana Collins was younger and stole her mother’s Harlequins to read beneath the covers with a flashlight, she wanted to read about the tough as nails heroine. The perfectly imperfect girl with quirks and attitude and sass. And the anti-heroes who were anything but “Prince Charming.” Forget the knight on a white horse… she wanted the bad boy on a motorcycle.
So, now, she writes those romance novels she craved to see on the shelves all those years ago—the sassy heroines. The badass heroes. Since penning her first romance novel back in 2012, she is now an international author with 15 published books and counting.
She lives in Portland, Maine, with an ever-growing brood of rescue animals: a kind of mean cat, a really doofy lab, a very mellow chihuahua, and a very not mellow cairn terrier puppy... oh yeah, there's a husband somewhere in that mix, too. She can usually be found hunched over her laptop in a cafe, guzzling gallons of coffee, and wearing fabulous (albeit sometimes impractical) shoes.
