Turn Me On by J. Kenner is the seventh book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Amanda and Derek, secret lovers who meet one a month. She is happy with the status-quo while Derek wants to go all in.
Amanda has been burned before and is no longer willing to risk her emotional well-being or her career aspirations for something as ridiculous as a relationship. Meeting Derek was the most fortuitous of events as he wasn't local and was only in town around once a month. Win-win as far as Amanda was concerned.
Derek likes Amanda. He knows she is wanting low-key and no-stings and he is fine with that - for a while. They agree to be monogamous and they start to spend as much time as they are able to each month, together. Derek decides Amanda is it for him and is determined to let her know. He isn't prepared for how closed off her heart is and how definitive her plan to keep things simple truly is.
Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!
