How can life get so complicated and dark that this type of decision has to be made? In reality, this would suck and have absolutely no glamour at all. However, we are in the world of Ferro...In this world, I think the rules are slightly different, especially when Sean is your first client (wink, wink). I can't wait to get to the next book and see what happens...

So Avery thinks she has the "Dream" job until Sean totally freaks out...He's broken, she feels betrayed when she finds out something from his past. The job has gotten REALLY complicated.

It must suck when you fall in love with your client - ESPECIALLY if he was your "first" only to be discarded by him. Meanwhile, the Madam is very disappointed in your performance and gets very scary...Poor Avery! Sean, get your head out of your rear end please.

Holy CRAP!!! I really hate having to wait for a book to be released. patience has NEVER been one of my virtues. (Impatiently tapping foot) What the heck was (view spoiler) thinking?
Come on book 6, hurry up and get here....

The Arrangement 6 by H M Ward is the sixth book in a romantic/erotic serial novel that focuses on Avery Stanz and her highly dysfunctional relationship with her lover Sean Ferro.
This book/series is dark. The meat of the story is what we will ultimately do to get by.
Desperate times and all that.
Avery is desperate and alone and she has crossed lines she didn't even know there was an option to cross in order to stay in school, keep her scholarship, finish her graduate degeree and keep a roof over her head. Mix in a severely disfunctional/ emotionally draining relationship and you get the hot, combustible *stuff* that is "The Arrangement".
I thought this book/series couldn't get any more disturbing. Turns out, I was wrong. So the cliffhanger at the end of Arrangement 5 was cleared up and explained away. After a major emotional upheaval (mine) we find out some more details about Avery's friend Marty. We get a sliver more info on the circumstances surrounding the death of Sean's wife. We also are given a few more details on Avery when her parents were still alive.
All in all - a TEASE!!!

I know, it's supposed to be, it keeps me entertained, the author in business and the world keeps on spinning.
I will be impatiently waiting for the next release.

The battle Avery faces trying to reach Sean and pull him from his self-imposed dark place is monumental. He knows in every bone of his body that he's beyond reach, but she disagrees. She's seen his lighter side, she knows that Sean, the true Sean, is there, somewhere. I can't wait for the next one, although Damaged 2 is out first (I believe) and apparently, they somewhat tie in together. Yeah! More Ferro - Woo Hoo!

Book eight in a series of "Serial Novels" by H.M. Ward.
This was, again, over so quickly. There is something about books you love, the characters, their tale, that enables you to devour the pages. For me, this is one of those stories. At the beginning of each book I am so excited that I finally have my grimy little mitts on a copy and can read it, by the end I am cursing myself for not waiting so I can devour them all at once. It's like the season finale of your favorite TV show in EVERY book. So all I can say is Yay for my ARC copy!
So how exactly is it that Avery keeps making the worst possible decisions ever?
She expects the worst reaction from Sean and he surprises the heck out of her.
They both know what they want but just cannot seem to make it happen.
And then, what is the history with Henry and Sean? Will that be explored further?
Very interesting...
I'm glad to see a little more from Mel & Marty in this book. I also have some serious WTF thoughts going on from the very end of the book, the unfortunately inevitable cliffhanger! I know where I want it to go, but that's the wonderful thing about this author, she always takes the story somewhere I completely don't expect.
I am now chewing nails and waiting for the arrival of the next arrangement novel.
