Wow!
Where do I begin?
I wasn't sure what I was going to get from this book by the title and cover. I was very pleasantly surprised. The story really threw me for a loop and definitely had some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting.
The story started out with the characters in high school and their relationship continues well into college. In my opinion, both Norma Jean and Chance's characters were well developed and I really felt for each one. They are both very tortured souls but bring out the best in one another and help each other to overcome the issues of their pasts.
One very minor problem for me was as all of the additional characters -extended family members, roommates and college friends were introduced - I started to have a bit of a difficult time following who everyone was and how they were involved in Norma and Chance's lives. I am really looking forward to reading the Young Love and Summer Loves series to become better acquainted with these other characters.
Overall, great read!
