My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Entwined with You by Sylvia Day was a thoroughly enjoyable read. It doesn't have a cliffhanger at the end so waiting for Captivated by You won't be too torturous.
There are moments in book two where weird, unexplained things happen...
- Eva's mom's reaction after lunch one day, getting pale and shaky.
- Eva assuming Gideon was seeing Corinne when she saw her leaving the Crossfire building looking very disheveled.
- She later finds red lipstick [?] on Gideons sleeve and he has just gotten out of the shower. He has no good explanation.
We learn how all these pull together into a much more sinister and potentially dangerous situation for Eva.
So Book three begins with Eva and Gideon still estranged. Eva thinks she knows what happened, but she doesn't know everything, yet.
In this book we get to see them re-connect and it is HOT!!!!
I like that Steven and Mark are a slightly bigger part of the story.
Audible Audiobook "Review: Crossfire # 3: Entwined With You"
Would you listen to Entwined With You again? Why?
Yes, I might listen to Entwined With You again, time allowing, just before book four will be released.
What other book might you compare Entwined With You to and why?
Of the books I have read, I would compare Entwined With you to "All In" and "Eyes Wide Open" by Raine Miller.
What about Jill Redfield’s performance did you like?
Jill Redfield is an excellent audiobook performer. Her voice can transition through the characters without sounding forced or fake. She IS Gideon, she IS Eva. It was a pleasure to listen to.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Gideon has done everything to be with Eva and keep her safe but will it be enough?
“Careful, Eva.” Gideon shot me a stern look. “Or you’ll derail my attempt to seduce you properly before I ride you on every flat surface in this apartment.”
If souls could be mated with wishes, ours would be inextricably entwined.
We were completely entwined, grasping and pulling at each other...I thought this next one was hilarious...
His lips thinned. “I have to go deal with Christopher. Are we okay?”
Nodding, I said, “I’m good. You?”
“As long as Kline doesn’t kiss you.” The warning was clear in his voice.
“Same goes.”
“If he kisses me, he’s getting decked.”
