Review: The Manhattanites # 2: Unscrupulous

Unscrupulous (The Manhattanites, #2)Unscrupulous by Avery Aster

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Unscrupulous by Avery Aster, book 2 in The Manhattanites series, is hot, not as hot as Lex & Massimo, but I don't honestly know what could top (no pun intended) the sex in their story.

Taddy is a compassionate, loving, loyal, beautiful soul all wrapped up in an efficient, bristling New York City exterior. She owns a very successful PR firm and is a major investor in Lex's design company. A case of mistaken identity could be the best mistake of her life...

Warner is a passionate, private, sculpted man ready to move on from his tragic loss. He also is ready to be mistaken for a famous football player and discover the beautiful art of vajazzling.

Taddy's adolescence was terrible. Once the truth comes out that her mother had an affair and her dad is not her dad the question arises...who is her father? This was touched on by Massimo in book 1 and a couple of hints are thrown out in this book...enquiring minds and all that jazz. What will the fallout from the revelation be like - I just know it's going to be epic.

While this story takes place before Undressed, it still focuses on the same group of besties. Morgan's story is next in Unsaid and then, Vive's story in Uncensored. I hope Vive's involves some more of Warner's brother (*eyebrow wagging*).
