Roman Holiday 1: Chained by Ruthie Knox is the first in a set of five serial novels about Roman and Ashley. There is another set of five novels that will be released at a later date giving us a holiday from our Holiday!
Let me start by throwing out there that I haven't read a book by Ruthie Knox that I have done anything less than LOVED! She brings something (*scratching head to find the word for it) to her characters that make them real and worth investing in emotionally.
Ashley is stubborn and determined to not lose her grandmother's vacation rentals to a heartless developer. So determined that she chains herself to a tree on the property in an attempt to halt demolition. Enter hot and suave developer Roman Díaz and you just know this is going to be GOOD!
I hate waiting for the next book to be released but with serial novels it is just a small wait (usually) and it's reminiscent of waiting for the next episode of your favorite TV show, it's annoying but it won't stop you watching the show. If you don't like serial novels, then I still recommend you read this, just start once all the parts have been released.
